It encourages Member States and stakeholders to strengthen the “innovation ecosystem” around sport, including research, entrepreneurship, partnerships between public authorities, industry and sport organisations, and to exploit sport’s spill-over effects into adjacent sectors. The Commission is invited to support data collection, studies and cross-border exchange of best practices, and to integrate sport-innovation priorities into funding programmes and policy frameworks.
